Fabricated and finished by hand in Gardner, MA. Formerly known as "the Chair Capital of the World", Gardner is a small community of highly skilled woodworkers. While the community used to support 5,000 craftspeople; it now employs fewer than 350. By locating its operations in Gardner, Kalon Studios is working to revitalize this community.

A raw, unfinished footstool. Pairs with Stump. The piece celebrates the natural qualities of the tree trunk. Trunk is cut from the green wood of a tree trunk so the surface splits as it ages and dries, giving each piece a unique look.
Trunk is made from FSC certified domestic Maple or Ash (whichever is available), sanded to a smooth finish.
