While the community used to support 5,000 craftspeople; it now employs fewer than 350. By locating its operations in Gardner, Kalon Studios is working to revitalize this community.

The Echo Toddler Bed is a singularly simple piece. Each surface is gently sculpted so that piece slopes in at both the top and bottom, giving a soft cradling effect and lending a beautiful, unified quality to the form. Edges are rounded over and soft.
One of the most important considerations of this bed's design is the freedom given the child who uses it. Graduating from a crib to a bed is a milestone for children that should be fully experienced. For this reason, the bed is set low to the ground, allowing kids to climb in and out with ease, building confidence and a sense of independence. The sides also clearly define the space of the bed, in a womb-like way, as the child’s own.
This bed is designed to beautifully complement the Echo Dresser.
In keeping with its designers' commitment to sustainable design practices, the Echo Toddler Bed is made with 100% natural, non-toxic and sustainable materials, and is manufactured in the U.S.
