Made from CPLA (Crystalized Polylactic Acid), an earth-friendly, renewable material, these are attractive, reusable, and suitable for hot foods up to 185° F. Each piece features the word "Compostable" on the handle — fulfilling a requirement of biodegradable plastics in certain municipalities.
These pieces have a five-year shelf life when stored in dry environments. They're certified to break down within 180 days in a commercial composting facility. Even the bags in which they're packed are compostable.
